Electrical/Electronic Project Engineer (m/f/d)
Location Ulm, start asap

You will:

  • Lead product development for electrical devices and successful execution for upcoming vehicle launches
  • Act as the interface and main point-of-contact between the electrical / electronic (E/E) component engineering team and other stakeholders, including other Engineering System teams, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Program, suppliers
  • Manage suppliers to ensure on time prototype hardware delivery, component development and validation
  • Create and manage project timelines and develop micro-plans with intermediate team milestones that align to program macro-timing using MS Project and Jira
  • Report and present on E/E deliverable status and issues in recurring meetings, including technical and program reviews, commissioning and manufacturing standup meetings
  • Manage E/E Jira projects to facilitate execution of team tasks and address issues

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in automotive project management, ideally battery-electric, fuel-cell electric, and or electric hybrid vehicle
  • Familiarity with some of the following components: high and low voltage fuse boxes, infotainment and connectivity hardware, ECU hardware, low voltage batteries, DC to DC (direct current) converters, audio devices
  • Confident user of MS Office, MS Project and Jira
  • Project management skills, ideally with agile methodology; certification in GPM/IPMA Level D would be a plus
  • Fluency in English, German or Italian language skills are a plus
  • Demonstrate proactivity, risk management and task prioritization
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

You will:

  • Own the design, development, calibration, and release of high-speed electronic hardware (HEH) used in battery and fuel cell electric vehicles
  • Be the lead technical interface to the supplier and communicate design, requirements, issues, changes, and vehicle program deliverable timing on behalf of your components
  • Set up project timelines for components through their complete maturity cycle from selection, sourcing, technical development to production part approval process (PPAP) and production
  • Manage suppliers through the execution of component development milestones and deliverables, including design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA), design validation and reliability report (DVRR), and timing proactive quality planning
  • Develop component level specifications through the analysis of European homologation, functional safety, and system level requirements
  • Represent your components to the rest of the company in cross-functional meetings, including change control and design reviews
  • Support vehicle prototype builds and production launches

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Several years of professional experience developing automotive electrical components and managing suppliers
  • Experience with at least some of the following components: vehicle head units (VHUs), ECU hardware, instrument and infotainment clusters, connectivity modules, navigational systems, and cameras
  • Familiarity with high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, SPI, GTH, GTRs
  • Knowledge or experience with SoCs, SOMs, GPS, HMI designs
  • Confident user of 3D modeling and product lifecycle management (PLM) software tools, CATIA V6 and 3DExperience would be a plus
  • Fluency in English, German or Italian language skills are a plus
  • Proactivity, strong technical communication and organizational skills

Senior Electrical / Electronic System Architecture Engineer (m/f/d)

You will:

  • Integrate components into battery and fuel-cell vehicle electrical architectures and create logical schematics defining point-to-point wiring between components as it pertains to specific vehicle functions
  • Support vehicle commissioning, system verification, and electrical troubleshooting by using a multimeter and other electrical equipment to measure continuity, isolation resistance, polarity and capacitance
  • Act as a feature architect and consultant for electrical/electronic (E/E) relevant vehicle functions by reviewing applicable top-level requirements, writing system-level requirements and producing functional documentation like boundary and parameter diagrams
  • Serve as the team’s technical interface to the rest of the company and collaborate with cross functional engineering teams, including electrical component owners, wire harness groups, controls and ECU hardware
  • Lead, train and mentor entry-level engineers in areas of technical expertise through the execution of tasks and deliverables
  • Take initiative to own technical issues as they arise and drive to resolution
  • Develop and perform verification testing of electrical systems and track system level electrical characteristics such as total quiescent current, total continuous current, minimum and maximum voltage level

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering
  • Many years of professional experience in designing entire vehicle E/E system architectures, ideally for battery-electric, fuel-cell electric, or electric hybrid vehicles
  • Experience using Capital Logic, or similar graphical wiring design software
  • Understanding of vehicle communication networks, such as CAN and LIN, from an electrical point-of-view
  • Understanding of at least some of the following: DC to DC (direct current) converters, power systems switches, high voltage DC systems, switching circuits, wiring loading, electromatic compatibility (EMC), high and low voltage battery systems
  • Experience with processes involving design and process failure mode and effect analysis (D/PFMEA), control plans, functional safety (FuSa), hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA), root cause analysis, impact analysis, change requests, and technical reporting
  • Fluency in English, German or Italian language skills are a plus
  • Strong technical communication and reporting skills, proactivity and hands-on mentality
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Ihre Zukunft

  • Verantwortung: Sie sind verantwortlich für die Konstruktion, Auslegung und Optimierung von Werkzeugen, Vorrichtungen und Betriebsmitteln für unsere Produktionsbereiche im In- und Ausland. Sie übernehmen die eigenständige Abwicklung von Projekten in Zusammenarbeit mit Kollegen/innen aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen.
  • Teamwork: Sie arbeiten in Projektteams bei Produkt-Neuentwicklungen mit, sowie bei der Konzeptionierung und Ausgestaltung von neuen Maschinen und Anlagen.
  • Kompetenz: Sie beraten hinsichtlich Werkstoffauswahl, Herstellungsverfahren und in technologischen Fragen rund um unsere Werkzeuge.

Ihr Potential

  • Qualifikation: Sie haben eine abgeschlossene Ausbildung zum Werkzeugmechaniker / Industriemechaniker (m/w/d) sowie eine Weiterbildung zum Techniker / Meister (m/w/d).
  • Praxis: Sie haben Erfahrung bei der Werkzeugmontage oder -herstellung, sowie in der Konstruktion mit 3D-CAD-Systemen (z. B. NX). Kenntnisse in SAP sind wünschenswert.
  • Know-How: Idealerweise haben Sie Kenntnisse über Press-/Stanzwerkzeuge und Spritzgusswerkzeuge.
  • Soft-Skills: Sie sind aufgeschlossen gegenüber Menschen und neuen Lösungen, arbeiten strukturiert und selbständig. Ausbildung Verfahrenstechnologe (m/w/d)

Ihre Zukunft

  • Ausbildungsablauf: Deine Ausbildung dauert 3,5 Jahre. In der ersten Zeit erlernst Du in unseren Ausbildungszentren, vorwiegend in Vöhringen, aber auch in Ulm, die Grundlagen der Metallbearbeitung. Im Laufe der weiteren Ausbildung erweiterst Du Deine Fähigkeiten an unseren verschiedenen Produktionsanlagen, lernst die Fertigungsprozesse kennen und bekommst somit einen umfassenden Einblick ins Produktionsgeschehen.
  • Berufsschule: Das theoretische Wissen erwirbst Du an der Robert-Bosch-Schule in Ulm.
  • Nach Deiner Ausbildung: Als Verfahrenstechnologe arbeitest Du im Produktionsbereich unserer Werke und sicherst die Herstellung unserer hochwertigen Produkte. Dabei entwickelst Du Dich täglich immer mehr zum Spezialisten, indem Du u.a.
    - Fertigungsabläufe vorbereitest, durchführst und steuerst.
    - computergesteuerte Produktionsanlagen rüstest und überwachst.
    - die Qualität der Produkte sicherstellst, prüfst und dokumentierst.
    - pneumatische und hydraulische Störungen erkennst, behebst und dokumentierst.

Ihr Potential

Wir achten auf Deine Persönlichkeit und Deine Fähigkeiten. Neben Deinen Noten zählen Spaß an der Arbeit und Dein Engagement.

  • Qualifikation: Du verfügst über einen guten Hauptschulabschluss oder mittleren Bildungsabschluss.
  • Praxis: Du bringst ein technisches Verständnis sowie ein räumliches Vorstellungsvermögen mit. Du bist handwerklich geschickt und hast Sinn für Planung, Organisation und Genauigkeit.
  • Persönlichkeit: Du zeigst Interesse am Umgang mit Metallen und Maschinen und kannst Dich für moderne Technik begeistern. Auch hast Du Freude an der Arbeit im Team und Neues zu lernen.
  • Sprache: Gute Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache in Wort und Schrift runden Dein Profil ab.
